The orange rollers are the ones I made. Some parts for the next set are scattered around the table. The green one in the foreground is an old commercial roller that was my inspiration for this project. It is rated at 7500 pounds (per skate)! Have you priced these things? Well over $1000 for a set of four!

This is more than a set of plans!

Along with the step by step plans in PDF format, you get a CD filled with photo after photo of the construction process, as well as a full set of CAD drawings in .dxf and .dwg formats. If you are unsure of a dimension (unlikely), just pick it off the drawing in your favorite CAD program. If you don't have a CAD program, there are several available for free download.

There are no difficult setups, and no exotic materials. These rollers are made from inexpensive mild steel and some roller chain parts.

At a bare minimum you will need a small lathe and a hack saw, but a milling machine and bandsaw make this project a snap.
