Mail list woes.

I didn't have much time, today. I was going to do the notification email list by hand, but I had no idea this many people would want to be on it!

I spent most of today trying to make Majordomo (mail list software) do what I wanted it to do and make sure the list was secure.

Then I got a nice surprise when the mailman came. I got the hot end kit from Makergear! I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow.

I opened the box and the first thing I saw was a small chocolate bar. It's nice to get a little something extra.
I was impressed with the professional looking packaging. Everything was sorted into heavy plastic bags and each bag had a list of contents.

I stuck the main tube into my extruder body just to see if it would line up. It was a very tight fit into the hole in the bottom of the extruder body, but it went in. I pushed a piece of PLA through and it looks like it's going to be fine.

Hard to see the black tube against the black extruder body. It is a very good looking part.

This shows the MDF mount I made from the DXF Makergear provided. I actually had it a little too tight and had to open the slot with a file. The mistake was mine. Their part was within a few thousandths of an inch compared to the DXF. Better too tight than too loose.

Tomorrow I hope to build the hot end and get the build platform installed. Then it's on to commissioning.

If you go to the Reprap main page you can see the path I am following (Prusa Mendel)...

After the build, there is a link to how to use it.

I hope to have a more informative update tomorrow.
